Gift Ideas for a Lockdown Birthday

Lockdown Birthday: well there's a phrase I'd never thought I'd say in life.

Like many children, Jax celebrated his third birthday under lockdown conditions. Usually we'd meet up or have friends and family round for some food and drinks to celebrate but this time we had to keep it under wraps and very intimate.

In true mum style, I was worrying and panicking that Jax's birthday would be ruined and that it wouldn't feel like a proper birthday; well I was so wrong. It turns out there are some things you can do it make the day just as special.

Below is a list of little touches and gift ideas to give you some lockdown birthday inspo:

B O U N C Y C A S T L E One of the first things I purchased was a Bouncy Castle. They range from £100 upwards and we ordered ours online from Smyths Toy Store.

A little touch that made the day feel extra special was the balloons we had around our home. I purchased two big dinosaur balloons from the Little Wish Company on Etsy. For those interested, they have 4 different dinosaur balloons to choose from.

The Little Wish Company can be found here on Etsy.

My favourite part of Jax‘s birthday was the balloon garland we ordered via Balloons By Tachelle. They are a family run business (our family infact!) and they designed, and installed a beautiful garland in our living room, ready for Jax in the morning. I’d totally recommend getting a balloon display, garland or some sort signature balloons for a lockdown birthday because balloons really do give you the birthday feels.

Balloons by Tachelle work via their instagram account and they can be found and contacted here.
